Skiing and hiking in the mountains, schnitzel, Mozart, Sacher torte. Right, I’m back in my home country Austria, at least for 10 days. Today I’m very happy to share this article with you, because I’m staying at one of the greatest luxury hotels in the world, the Hotel Sacher.

The Hotel Sacher is located right in the center of one of the most culturally significant European cities. Vienna is a city of musicians, artists, philosophers and architects.

Keep the history, live the presence.

The internationally known french interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon was part of creating this typical “Sacher-Atmosphere“. It was very important to keep all the history-charged equipment, like for example those magnificent crystal chandeliers. At the same time there can be seen some modern pieces as well.

I really have to say that I walked very astonished through the hotel. Of course, I’ve heard about the hotel already, I mean probably a handful did not. But this is my first time being inside and enjoying an exclusive tour with getting all that interesting infos about it. The Hotel Sacher offers everything from superior and deluxe rooms, top deluxe rooms, junior and deluxe junior suites, executive suites, one and two bedroom suites, and the presidential suite. 149 rooms in total. For me, one of the most interesting parts of the hotel was the little corridor which is studded with all those images on the wall. These give insights about the hotel’s history and shows all of those popular hotel guests who have been here already. Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth II and John F. Kennedy are only a few of them.

The Hotel Sacher also offers a large selection of culinary art. Two Restaurants, red bar and green bar, where you can enjoy traditional Austrian meals, which are marvelous I can tell you this. The blue bar invites you to one or two cocktails, and the famous “Sacher Eck“ serves you the Sacher torte after the original recipe.

Besides there are several rooms which can be used for conferences, meetings, and weddings. The Sacher Boutique Spa is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., the gym 24/7.
